Following the introduction of its Foamply foaming installations, 1-component-foam-sealing specialist CeraCon GmbH, Weikersheim, Germany, has unveiled its latest variant: the Foamply E micro. Fitted with a servo motor drive and a small dosing cylinder, it is specifically designed to reliably dispense tiny amounts of foam. The lowest dosing rate is 0.008 g/s. This can reproducibly create foam beads of 1.0 mm width and 0.5 mm height. The new system lends itself to sealing electrical connectors or very small electronic housings, such as those on the narrow lip of a housing edge for rear-view cameras.
The servomotors of the Foamply E and Foamply F variants for normal dosing rates have been overhauled, too. In addition, the Foamply M variant offers very high dosing rates and is capable of continuous foam metering at 50 g/s and more.
