China will soon begin building its first marine resources survey ship and its first mother ship formanned submersibles, according to the State Oceanic Administration.

 

Hu Xuedong, deputy director of the administration's Deep Sea Department who overseesChina's ocean exploration programs, said at a news conference in Beijing on Wednesday thatthe construction work on the two vessels will start before July.
